Yee-Haw!

I LOVE...that's LOVE ... my new cowboy boots!

Earlier in the summer, I thought about how I would like another pair...a pair more traditional with pointed toes.  I have another pair that I wear all the time...they have a more squared off toe...and the top is orange (which I love)...but I just wanted another pair.

My mom told me she wanted to get my birthday present while I was here....

I told her my desire for another pair of boots...

"Yee-haw" is not what she said...but it's my translation of what she was thinking...

Shepler's...here we come!

and now I have a new pair of boots!

Yee-haw!

Pictures with my mom

We had such a great time today!   GRITS, Patti, Mom, and me...  I wanted a photo of all of us together, so I sat my camera up on GRITS' car and put the timer on!
Mom and I needed to have our picture made together, of course!
Texas...Mexican Food...Cracker Barrell...Yes mam's... cowboy boots... Texas heat... and MOM ....

Love it all!

Patti and GRITS

My cousin, Patti, and my niece, GRITS, came to visit today.
Patti's mom and my mom were sisters...
GRITS, who I have written about before, is absolutely adorable...she is beautiful from the inside out....
She loves her mama....
and she loves her SadSack and her Aunt Judy...
GRITS, called Emily by most people, is a twirler for her college...
It was so much fun to have them both come visit...
They live about 2.5 hours from my mom... their SadSack...

GRITS and Patti, my cuz... I love you both and am so glad you came!

Sharing a song!

Thalia and Joshua were sharing a set of earbuds to listen to a song together.

(Actually, Joshua was testing to see if Thalia's music was too loud...it was..."Turn it down.... down more... down more."  But then he seemed to enjoy whatever the song was!)

Thalia sings, "Our God is Greater!"

Thalia is an amazing singer and guitar player!  I have loved sitting around today listening to her.
She leads worship at her church, for the junior high and high school groups...and has also been asked to sing/play a duet in the main sanctuary!
I told her I wanted to put a video of her singing on the blog...but after videoing, it wouldn't load...I think it's too long.  So, I uploaded it to YouTube and what you see below is taken from that.  She INSISTED I make the YouTube private...Joshua and I tried to convince her to have it so anyone could see and hear her.   Thalia doesn't realize how good she is!  Enjoy!

Farmer's Market

Lindsey and I took both the boys to the Farmer's Market on Saturday....
I caught myself thinking...multiple times... HOW IN THE WORLD did I manage 3 kids by myself?  I took the 3 of them everywhere...shopping in a neighboring town, on airplanes, on just day trips around town...
Emerson and Benjamin would each decide to go a different way at times... YIKES!  Here, we bought a basket of organic strawberries and they sat down and ate the entire basket.
Emerson wasn't too sure of the whole situation... he walked around checking it all out...
Benjamin is used to going to a Farmer's Market.  He wanted to 'help' by holding 'Mama's bag'....

At one point, we were sitting on the lawn, listening to music, and letting the boys run around a little.  Emerson spotted this ball.  I had told him earlier he had to leave it alone because it belonged to someone else...but then those people left and the ball was still there!  He was squatting down like this photo....just staring at the ball.  Before I knew it, he had it in his hand and was standing at my side saying, "Hi Mimi"... as if he wasn't holding the blue ball I had told  him earlier he couldn't play with!  Another lady and her kids were close by and I asked her if the ball belonged to them, yes, it did, but she said he could play with it for awhile...

We played catch for awhile...until the older boy of that family decided he wanted it back...
Benjamin, in the meantime, was hanging out with his mama eating an apple!
This was so cute!  We started walking around, Emerson grabbed Benjamin's shoulders, and started leading him..or following him around... he did it for quite a while... so cute!

After we left the plaza, we walked over to Los Bagels.  Yum!
The boys enjoyed the stools that turned...

Here we are on our way home...

A busy day for my little farmer's market boys!

In the tub

Neither of my little men are loving baths these days... but last night, Benjamin put up no fuss at all when I put him in.  Emerson, on the other hand, kept saying, "no bath"... but kept watching Benjamin splash around.  Slowly, Emerson eased closer... I would try to coax him... "no bath"... and then Benjamin started saying, "Come on, Eme..." and eventually, there they were!  Then it became a matter of getting them OUT of the tub.  The only thing that didn't happen was washing Emerson's hair... I at least got 75% of it wet...
