SKYPING with the birthday boy!

I called Benjamin this afternoon to wish him a Happy Birthday.  He was getting ready to go on a bike ride - not by himself, but he was taking his family along too. We talked a few minutes, then I asked him to call me when he got home.

He said he would.

He's a man (remember, he's 3 YEARS OLD NOW!) of his word, of course.  Sure enough, a little later, actually 7 miles later, he SKYPED me...and we visited.  He sang 'Holy, Holy, Holy' for me multiple times.
Last time I was there, he also sang 'Holy, Holy, Holy' to me....but he would say, "Blessed Ginity...." and I would tell him, no, it was Blessed TRInity.  Well, it became a joke, he'd say Ginity and I'd say Trinity.

Tonight when he was singing it, he said 'Blessed Trinity,' and I clapped and was like, YEAH, Benjamn, you said Trinity!  Then I reminded him of our earlier discussions.

He remembered.
He decided to sing it again...and when he got to that part, he said, "Blessed Ginity," and started cracking up laughing!

What a sweetheart my little man is!

3 years old...and he's already a great singer!

Happy Birthday to my little guys!

Today is Benjamin's 3rd birthday!  May 13th was Emerson's 3rd birthday!  I can hardly believe it.  I cannot imagine life without them... they are so absolutely precious to me.

May 13th was Mother's Day...and William's dedication...which meant we were out of town.  So I decided today, in honor of both of them, I would do a little birthday collage...

I love you, little guys...

Happy Birthday from your Mimi!

Lindsey & William

I found this new template this morning on one of the Photoshop sites I like to read.  It's suppose to be a before/after template.  This photo of Lindsey and William was taken the day after he was born...and it's one of my favorites.  I've been wanting to turn it into a black and white... so this morning over a cup of coffee, that's what I did!

I love it both ways...

Random

This was at the Kinetic Sculpture Race...
 Although, it wasn't racing...
 It's called the Deco-liner...
You could walk up and sit on top...
I got home and googled it..and here are some better photos of it..
This is the inside part of the picture above....

I've never wanted any type of motor home...but this one, I'd love!
As we were walking back to the car... the rhododendroms are in bloom everywhere!
Back to our house, I thought I'd take a picture of the 'wierd tree'...  The bottom part is what we planted 25 years ago...and it grew normally until about 5 years ago, when all of a sudden, it started sprouting this other kind of tree on top!  The bottom part doesn't seem to be growing much, but the top-hat is!
THIS is my favorite azalea...in full bloom now...

Just a few random pictures....

Rainbow?

I got out of my car about noon yesterday, looked up and saw this!        12:23:06 p.m.
It was the colors of the rainbow, but it was just a straight line...         12:23:52 p.m.
It kept changing, slightly, for almost an hour!                                 12:25:16 p.m.
As you can see, there were some clouds, but it was mostly blue sky... 12:25:43 p.m.
12:33:31 p.m.
12:33:33 p.m.

12:33:42 p.m.
12:33:55 p.m.
12:34:22 p.m.
12:34:28 p.m.

12:39:44 p.m.

 12:39:49 p.m.
1:19:04 p.m.

How beautiful is that?  I don't know if  you'd call it a rainbow, because it wasn't a 'bow'....and there had been no rain, and no rain came after.

People around here were posting pictures of it on Facebook...

It was kind of like looking through a prism...

just a treat!

Kinetic Sculpture Race

Big Foot was there...

along with a lot of zany outfits and contraptions...

it was the Kinetic Sculpture Race that took off yesterday at the noon whistle.

I'm not sure who Bigfoot's friend was, but they towered over everyone so they could see the sculptures take off.

These machines have to be able to go on land, sand, and water...
People were on roof tops to watch...

Right before the noon whistle, the crews stood across the street from their machines... and when the whistle sounded, they ran across, hopped on, and hoped to take off... some had to have repairs before they even traveled a foot... or an inch, actually!

This machine got a pedicure the night before!  Seriously!

This fire truck shot fire out of the top...

 Off they went...
Here came the big silver slipper...

The band played...
and the 3 day race was just beginning...
