Rocking away!

Before the Stewarts took off, I thought about getting a picture of Sullivan in our old rocking chair.
His brothers wanted him to be in THIS chair...so I did one there first.
This was Joshua's rocking chair when he was a little guy.
'JOSHUA' is engraved in the top cross slat, but you can't see it here.
I moved him to this rocking chair...
which was my original intention.
This rocking chair was given to my grandfather on his first birthday.
Then it was given to my mom on her first birthday.
I can't remember I got it, but it was after I was married and had kids.
Sullivan's sweet little feet are resting on 116 year old wood that's never been refinished.
All the wear on this wood was from my grandfather, my mom, probably some from me,
and my kids and grandkids.  I absolutely do not want to refinish it.
 I took it outside...
with the plan to get all the boys around it.
William had driven with his dad and Papa to get his dad's phone and wallet that he had forgotten at a friend's house.
Well, William fell asleep on the way back..
so my plan for all 3 boys was not going to happen.
I took one more picture...
then he was put in the car to head home.

It was a great time with Lindsey...Donnie...Benjamin...William...and Sullivan!

Watermelon time!

 William!
One fact about him is that he LOVES fruit.
I don't know of a fruit he doesn't like.
 Fresh, frozen, dried...
makes no difference to William.
If it's fruit, he loves it.
On this day, the fruit being consumed was watermelon.
I cut up half of a HUGE melon...
 Benjamin also loves fruit,
but not as much as his brother.

 They sat down...
and started on the watermelon...

Within 2 sittings-not long between sittings,
the bowl was empty...
with the bulk of it consumed by these two little men!

Their mama has always loved fruit, too...
and their Papa...
but none like these two guys!

William's fork trick

 William is usually very entertaining!
This evening at dinner was no exception!
 "Mimi, watch!"

 Oh William!
You are so talented!

Even Baxter was enjoying William's fork trick!

Just some random fun

Sullivan was into the World Cup, too.
 William was ready to play.
The older two were temporarily distracted by a few ripe blueberries.

Instead of soccer, we played 'throw the ball for Baxter'.
I was in shock at how far and how high William could throw the ball!

After a lot of throws to Baxter, it was back into the blueberry patch for William and Benjamin!
There weren't too many ripe ones, but the ones that were there were gone after these boys left the patch!

Bathing in the sink

I remember when I used to bath my kids in the sink!
It was whenever we were somewhere besides home.
I don't know why I didn't do it at home...because they always loved it!
There is some innate fascination with running water...
watching and feeling it run on and through your fingers.

And oh...
how sweet they smell and how cuddly they are when the bath is over and they're all wrapped up in a nice warm towel!

Hanging out in the crate!

 This is Baxter's crate....
that he doesn't particularly care to be enclosed in.
There are some, however, who seem to enjoy the crate!
Sullivan
William
and Walt has enjoyed it for a long time!

I guess it feels kind of like a little playhouse...
like when we used to put blankets over chairs and play underneath the blankets.

Whatever the reasons, I'm glad someone loves the crate!
