The day after the party, but the day before Walt's real birthday!

We all slept in a bit on Sunday morning...
the morning after the party!
We had all been up a bit later, hanging out with Aunt Lindsey, Uncle Donnie, Benjamin, William, and Sullivan...
So we sat around in our pajamas and ate bagels and cream cheese!
 It was perfect...and delicious!
Emerson was bundled up watching...can't remember what.
It was time for Walt to open more of his gifts.
Emerson gave him some help opening them.

 How cute is this?
Guess who gave him this hat and vest?
You might think it was his Papa...
but you'd be incorrect...
His great brother, Emerson King, gave them to him!
 I think he looks great...
I told Emerson what a great big brother he is...
he was a bit shy about the compliments..

The vest came off, but the drill entered the picture.
 My little worker!
 Emerson checked out the computer...
After awhile, Emerson and I went upstairs and "played" football cards.
We've done this for years.  Emerson has a lot of cards, and we pick teams.
His Red Fox was helping him with his team...

We set the timer on the camera and ..
well, we had fun!

We were taking pictures of Baxter which didn't show up very well...
he's so black and against the blue, well, do you see Baxter?
 The KING of faces!
Emerson took the reins of the camera and he took some pictures and videos!
Emerson..he is SO MUCH FUN!
He took pictures and then saw how I could 'trim' them on the camera...'so he tried his hand at trimming the pictures!
We also headed to In N Out Burger!  I LOVE to go there with Emerson.
I do like In N Out Burger....but I LOVE to go with Emerson.
It's just something we do...
and it's special to me.
Emerson always orders 2 hamburgers, no onions...
I ordered a cheeseburger with onions..
we shared an order of fries...
While we waited for our food, we talked about cursive writing.
Emerson showed me how he could write...
and we compared how I would write to his..
Mainly, we had a great time together.
I love this little man!

The Birthday Boy and his party!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Walt!!!
Walt's daddy got right over to the party after the baseball game was over.

Walt was excited about the 'birthday party' but didn't quite understand what a birthday is.
Well, that may not be true.  If you ask him how old he is...he would usually answer, "I am two."
"Papa Greg" was there...and he was dolled up for the occasion!
 Sue was also feeling festive!
Cousin Benjamin came (along with William and Sullivan!)...

Big Brother, Emerson, was ready to celebrate his brother's birthday!
I
Walt took a seat and was soaking it all in!
It was the perfect setting for a birthday party for a 2 year old who loves the outdoors!
When it was time to sing Happy Birthday, Emily realized she had forgotten matches.
Sue said she had some in her purse...
and she did...
but they were old...
and hard to light...

Walt didn't really mind about the matches, he decided to sample the cake anyway.

Emily put the hat on him...
and Walt was like, "I don't think so!"
Cousin Andrea was trying to help get a match lit...

We had success...and so we quickly sang happy birthday to our soon-to-be-2 year old!

Walt not only liked the cake, but he liked the little cars on top!
Emerson was happy for him, even though he's not a big cake fan.

 Emily started cutting the cake...

Gabe grabbed a bib for the birthday boy...

Everyone was enjoying celebrating 2 years with this little man...
and enjoying the beautiful weather at the park!

Now you might be wondering why William would be eating cake with his hands...
well, when there are 45 details to remember,
sometimes, things like forks, for example, get forgotten.
Tony, Andrea, and Natalie were there...
Donnie was showing our newest addition, Sullivan, to Papa Greg...
who looks like he exchanged his party hat for a baseball cap.
I wonder if Donnie was explaining to Sullivan that this was his first birthday party to attend?

Courtney is a great friend and she was there with her family.
Papa, Sullivan, and Lindsey were excited to be here...
Mimi, that's me, with my newest little man, Sullivan!

OH BOY!!!!  Look what our two year old has?
A bike!

 A bike with a bell!

I think Walt loves his bike, but he really loves the bell, too!

Baxter was enjoying the party, too.
He had not been a very good puppy AT ALL during the baseball game!

I turned around and there was Benjamin holding his baby brother!
What a lucky little guy Sullivan is...
and what a lucky big brother Benjamin is!
 Sullivan was a bit hungry...
he'll take a bottle, sometimes!  He prefers his sweet mama!
Emerson had just finished an official baseball game, but now he was ready to play with his buddies!
Casey and William were part of the game....
Travis and Benjamin were part of the game, too.
Walt was not part of that game, he was cruising around on his bike, and hanging out with everyone who had come to say Happy Birthday to him, and playing with the balloons.

 Sunflowers!  My favorite flower...
and there was a huge field of them behind the park.
Walt was going to check the sunflowers out...

He said he had had a GREAT birthday party...
and we all agreed!
