Benjamin meets William

Benjamin was excited today.  He knew he was going to meet William.  He and Papa sat on the steps and put on their shoes so we could leave.
William was nursing when we got there...but then he was ready to have his picture made...well, sort of.

Benjamin wasn't too sure at first.  He was more interested in all the buttons on the bed.  But then...he decided to give his baby brother a little love...

a few kisses...
a sweet pat on the head...

William was trying to figure this all out.  He recognized that sweet voice of his brother...
Benjamin will be a great big brother, I am sure!

How sweet is this?
Papa got to hold his newest grandson for the first time...

In the meantime, Benjamin decided to eat a banana...

Don't you wonder what babies are thinking sometimes?
This precious family of three, is now a family of four!

 This mama couldn't be happier!
Neither could this daddy!

These two little men...brothers... William's middle name was originally going to be Judah...but last night, Lindsey and Donnie decided on Joseph, instead... William Joseph...

In the Bible, Benjamin and Joseph were brothers, both sons of Rachel.  Benjamin and Judah were also brothers, but they had different mothers.  (Judah's mother was Leah)

Benjamin and Joseph...

When it was time to head home, we stopped at a section of the hospital that has this train... Oh does Benjamin love it!
These buttons can be pushed to make the train make train-noises...  Benjamin certainly did not want to leave the train...

Brothers meeting for the first time... a new family of four...

William (Joseph or Judah) is here!

My  baby girl...had her second baby boy today...
I'm sitting here at 3:12 a.m. writing this.  Today has been a miracle day.  Life has been an emotional roller coaster since last Thursday.  Sunday evening, it all took a turn for the worse.  Lindsey hadn't felt the baby move...she wasn't doing well herself...so they went into the hospital 'for observation'...  a C-section was immediately talked about by the doctors...
So many prayers were being said for Lindsey and the baby...
and today...those prayers were answered
William came into our lives at 8:03 p.m.  The actual induction of the labor had started 4 hours prior.  It ended up being 4 hours of intense...really intense labor.   She went from being dialated to 5-6 to delivering in less than an hour.
Look... THIS is a gift from God...

All babies are a gift...
but the faith of Lindsey and Donnie has been rewarded with this little man...

My baby girl...she is so strong...so determined...

Donnie is an amazing father... Lindsey could not have persevered without him...
and without the prayers of so many...
Lauri was their Doula..both with Benjamin and with William.  She is also amazing...so calming...

This Mimi is thankful beyond words...

Another little man to love!

Thank you, Lord!
