Happy birthday, William!

One year ago today, our dynamic William was still a crawler... Now, he likes to RUN!

In March, there was no question in his mind that he fit right in with his older brother and cousin!

In May, William enjoyed swinging and hanging out at his brother's 4th birthday party..

Also in May, William had both of his sets of grandparents at his house at the same time!
 He loves his Oma!
His fetish with shoes continues!

July came...but not many photos.  Mimi was in Europe for most of the month.

In September, William came to visit Mimi and Papa...of course we had to go to the park!

William tried to explain to his Papa how to google something on the computer...
and we took the boys to the apple farm!
In October, William was enjoying playing in their sand box...
Like his brother, he loved hanging out in the car!

This is one of my favorite pictures of William.!  He definitely has a bit of a temper!
October 20th was Papa's birthday.  We were so happy to have all of our grandsons with us.
In November, Saddie came to visit.  William was having fun hiding???

 William definitely loves his cars!
 Our Thanksgiving picture!
You spent December in Santiago, Chile...but on January 4th, Mimi and Papa came to visit!

Now here we are February 28th, the day you turn 2 years old!

Happy happy birthday, William!

Your Mimi sure loves you!

III Forks

What a great week in Texas!
My brother came in from Colorado and for a few days, it was just the three of us:  mom, John David and I.  Before my brother even had his plane ticket, he told me that he wanted to go to III Forks for dinner.  He said it was his very favorite restaurant.

I'm not a steak eater...not at all.  Last time I ate one, Ron and I were in Oregon at a very nice steak house.  I sent the steak back twice and the third time, I said forget it.  I was not planning on getting a steak at III Forks because of this.

My sister-in-law is also not a big steak eater, but John David told me she loved this New York Strip steak with a peppercorn sauce/gravy over it.  Well, I thought, if Becky likes it, I will too.

I didn't like it...I absolutely loved it.  There was nothing there that wasn't incredibly delicious.
Mom's birthday (87th) isn't until April, but my brother told them we were celebrating it that night.  So you can see this delicious chocolate cake they brought ... with a candle.  We shared it...

Yep, III Forks was an incredible place to have dinner, but it was even better being there with my mom and my brother!

Brody has gained back to his birth weight...and more!

Little Brody is still 'little', but he's catching up!
He weighed 5 lbs. 5 oz. at birth, but lost down to 4 lbs. 14 oz. (I think that's right.)  I told my brother, the new grandpa, that this was normal...totally normal.
I would say this is probably not his 'best side'!  :)
I asked Sami tonight how much he weighed...and she said he's up to 5 lbs. 7 oz.!

Um?  Looks like it must have been a busy day for this little man. Before we know it, he'll be running around.
We're waiting...patiently waiting...for his cousin, Remy, to be born...in Korea!
Brody and Remy will be like Emerson and Benjamin growing up together...If Remy waits until March 1st, they'll be the same number of days apart as Emerson and Benjamin!
What fun!

Happy Birthday, Lindsey!

My baby is 33 years old today!

I'm sitting here in Texas and thought I didn't have access to my photos...
I keep forgetting about this iPhone and photos I have here... I love to write blogs for my kids' birthdays, so was happy to have some pics with me!

Lindsey...in a hat, with her family... That's my girl!

We were living in Weaverville...I had no idea 'Lindsey was Lindsey'... I wanted a daughter so bad...but I wouldn't let myself hope for a girl... I definitely would have been thrilled to have 3 sons... And I definitely didn't want to feel any sort of disappointment when my baby was born.  Inside, I really thought I was having a girl, but wondered if it was just wishful thinking since we had Joshua and Gabrial.

I remember the moment that my midwife, Candy, said, "You have a daughter!"

I cried...I held her, Ron rubbing her cheek...with tears in his eyes.

The nurses took her for some reason (don't remember why) and Ron collapsed in exhaustion and I took off walking through the hospital to find a phone to call my mom...

And here she is, 33 years later, with 2 wonderful sons of her own...a beautiful family.

I love you, Lindsey Nicole!
Happy birthday!
