Happy 10th Birthday, Benjamin!

June 3, 2018, we celebrated you turning 9 years old!

There was a lot of baseball played.

The day before your party, you had a baseball game that we were excited to watch!  I love watching you play sports, but I was especially excited to see you pitch.  You did a GREAT job!

Towards the end of June, you were going to an Earthquakes game.  I joined your family for a tailgate party before the game.

July 1st, we met at the condo for the guys to do some work.  WE went to the pool and played!

The next weekend, you came up to see us!  We went to a festival where there were lots of old cars.
There was also a petting zoo...which was small but sweet!

Back at home, we watched quite a bit of the World Cup.  That inspired a lot of soccer to be played in our back yard.

I'm not sure what it is about Baxter's crate, but it's usually a hit with the grandsons! (but not Baxter!)
 Blueberries are always popular.
When you boys are coming, your Papa always ask me to get a watermelon and cut it up for you.
Just between you and William, ya'll ate practically the entire thing.  It was a large watermelon, too!

July was a very busy travel month for you.  Your family flew to Montana and then to Denver.  Here you are in Denver at Chick fil A.  Your Saddie was so excited to have you there!

The weekend after you returned from Denver, back you came to Emerson's house.  There was more work to be done on the condo...

In August, I came a little early for Sullivan's birthday.  We had a little mini celebration for his first birthday.

At the end of September, we gathered at Emerson's house to celebrate Walt turning 3 years old!  I think the highlight for most all of you was the pinata...especially after it broke!
December was the month you came to Colorado!  Your Papa and I were so very excited for you to come.  We went to visit Brenda and her family (they live in Arvada) and Lissette and her family were also there visiting.  You were curious about this massage chair!

December 30, 2018, we met Brenda (your mom's cousin) and her 3 kids, (Eli, Emma, Jackson) and went hiking.  Uncle Joshua also went with us.
It snowed on New Year's Eve.
You were quick to get outside and help shovel snow...not just in front of our house, but even the neighbors across the street.  Unfortunately, I didn't know you were doing it at the time, and didn't get a picture.

We celebrated Christmas on January 1, 2019
That was the first day we could all be together.  It was cold...and still snowy.
January 2nd, look what you and William did!

It was a cold, lazy day.  It was a perfect evening for snuggling up and watching TV.
January 4th, your family and Papa went to a train museum.  Look at your face in this top picture.  You look SO EXCITED!

Papa did tell me that he and your dad enjoyed the train museum, but he wasn't too sure about you boys and your mama!

Later on the 4th, we headed up to Dinosaur Ridge to hike.  It was great to get out and walk...but the dinosaur portion left a bit to be desired.

After Dinosaur Ridge, we went over to Uncle John's house and he cooked 'Beer-can chicken' on the grill.  Saddie came over and we took some pictures with her.  You were leaving the next morning to fly home.  Saddie was so touched by the Christmas gift you gave her.  You picked it out, paid for it, and wrapped it all by yourself.  It meant so much to her.
I came to see you in March.  It had been way too long!

I love taking and picking you and William up from school.  The first morning, you told me you would make the oatmeal for breakfast.  You did that every morning, including serving it to William and I.  You're amazing, Benjamin.

We had a party at a park for William's classmates to celebrate his birthday.
You were incredibly helpful...to Sullivan and also to Baxter.

Baxter, of course, was so excited to be with you and William.
You enjoy 'training' him...here you're telling him to 'Stay'...and he did!
And of course, the trampoline.  Your dad was out playing with his boys...and what a grand time ya'll had!  I loved just watching you together.

Now here it is...MAY...your birthday month.
10 years old!
They say, "Time flies when you're having fun," and we have so much fun with you.
Time has definitely flown by...it's hard to realize you are 10 years old.

I love you, Benjamin!
Happy 10th birthday
