My little speller!

Emerson has known his ABCs since he was 2 years old...
Now that he's a much more mature 2 years and 10 months old, he can also spell and he can write the alphabet...and some words!
Two weeks ago when he came to see his new cousin, William, for the first time, he found Benjamin's chalk in the backyard...
and started writing the alphabet, from A to Z...

Here are a couple of close-up shots of his alphabet!

Today I was at his house and Gabe told me he had bought these erasable crayons...and that last night, Emerson was taking a bath and proceeded to write letters all over the tub...I figured that was a 'kodak moment'...
This is the wall around the tub...

Notice he's holding his stickers from In-n-Out burger in his right hand...and writing with his left!
My favorite word that he spells...  :)
Along with writing his letters, he wanted me to take his picture...

and he also wanted to be the one taking pictures...

And then we took one of us together...

"Mimi, we're kissing!" he exclaimed...
My little Emerson... I love you, little guy!

Uncle Gabe

Last Sunday, William got to meet his Uncle Gabe...
His Uncle Gabe had forgotten what it was like to hold such a little man...
Uncle Gabe asked his baby sister (aka 'Mama' to William and Benjamin) if it was ok to give him nicknames - like Willy or Will.   William seemed a bit concerned, seeing as he has only heard William and William-Billian....and 'my littlest man'...

His mama told William's Uncle Gibby that that would be fine!

Uncle Gibby ended up being pretty comfortable holding his little Willy!

Favorites

Last weekend, I had two of my three babies (well, they're grown, but they're still my babies) together for a day...and three of my four grandkids.  Joshua, Erica, and Thalia weren't there :(  Before my guy and I took off to come home, it was a time for photos.

Coming home, my guy told me how important he thought it was to take these group shots...I, of course, totally agree!  It can be a hassell to get everyone together and get the camera set...but oh, it's so worth the outcome!  I love, love this picture...
We were trying to get Benjamin to come join this photo...but being nap-less, he wasn't being totally in the mood for photos...

I took this one of Gabe, Emerson, and my guy while we were at church...I'm not sure Emerson wanted to be held...he and Benjamin were having a grand time running around...

This was Saturday night.  Lori, was Lindsey's doula.  Lori was also there for Benjamin's birth.  I hadn't had any experience with doulas before Benjamin, and I am certainly an advocate now.  Lori is absolutely wonderful...so calming...so reassuring...so knowledgeable... so.... I know Lindsey wouldn't have made it through the delivery without using some kind of drugs if it hadn't been for Lori.
The boys, in the previous video running around outside while church was going on, also stopped awhile on this bridge...
This made their Mimi happy because it was a great place for pictures!

All these pictures are ones I've been playing with in Photoshop..
See those red cheeks?  When you play "Stop!  Go!" for an hour with your cousin, that's what happens!
The new little family of four!

 I got all the guys together!  (Missing Joshua :(  :(   :(  )

I wanted to be with my guys...

This was taken when Benjamin was at our house...but I got a new 'effect' for Photoshop, so I just edited it...

Last, but not least... I thought I'd show the similarity between William and his Papa!

My newest little man looks at his Mimi

I love this!  I was holding William last weekend and he was just intently staring at my eyes.  I asked Lindsey to take a picture...

I wonder about these little people and what they're thinking.  They've been hearing these voices for months...are they trying to place the sound with the face?  Is it the sound, or the feelings that were in those sounds?

William is so alert, has been this way since he came out 3 weeks early.  (Monday, March 19th is his due date!)  Lindsey didn't have any drugs at all during her labor/delivery...which I'm sure is a lot of the reason for his alertness.

It's been 6 days since I've seen my little men... next weekend, hopefully, I can see all 3 of them.  Thalia, hopefully, I'll see in June!

I love, love, love being a Mimi!
