My guy

My guy and my oldest baby boy are taking off for Texas this weekend...to do a little work around the farm and a little at Saddie's.

I came across the photo and thought I'd play around with it a bit in PSE9. Photos of my guy and I don't make it here on the JohnstonChronicles too often!

My best friend....

My precious ones in black and white

Thalia

Playing with PSE9, I have been playing with converting pictures into black and white, then slightly adding a little color back in...
Emerson

This one of Emerson also has texture added to it...

and the rounded corner frame...
Benjamin

I put a white frame around Benjamin's because the black didn't show since the edges are already dark.

Can you tell I added the color back in to their eyes?

I love my little men and my precious granddaughter!

Benjamin at Great America

Benjamin had a great time at Great America...

Benjamin and his little friend!
Lindsey told me he rode some rides with her or Donnie...

but some wouldn't let an adult ride...
so Benjamin and his little friend rode together...
Lindsey told me that every time the rides stopped, Benjamin would said, "Again!"
I would have loved to seen him there...
riding the rides...
with his little friend!
You're growing up so fast, Little Man!

Skyping with the injured

My poor baby ... Thalia was injured in a mean game of basketball today...
Thalia has a swollen eye...and Erica has a bump on the back of her head...

and Joshua is in the doghouse for laughing...
Here's my one eyed granddaughter holding little cute Cookie...

who isn't potty trained...
Here's Blu...

He doesn't know what to think!

Giving Kisses!

Playing around with PSE9, I was practicing making a collage...having the pictures "snap" into place. Not sure what made me think about kisses...maybe it was my guy just walking through and kissing me .... so I went through some of my files looking for photos of kissing...

thus, the kisses collage!

My boys on my 600th post!

My little men... I miss them like crazy! Having so many great pictures of them just doubles my fun with PSE9! These were taken March 12 or 13th.

The font of 'Benjamin' is my new font...Remington or something like that... I love it! Then the black border/rounded corners of Benjamin and the brown strip at the bottom of Emerson's are both what I've downloaded.

I can hardly believe this is my 600th post here on the JohnstonChronicles!

Time to go eat Mexican Food...

Wednesday's lesson

Today was day 3 of my new online class...it's through Kim Klassen, a photographer and photoshop enthusiast in Canada.

I just love the addition of text...and textures!

Strength

I've been loving adding text to photos...as you may have noticed in previous posts. I just started my first online class today...it's a class combining photography and photoshop...just my cup of tea!

I thought it a bit...ironic, maybe...that the first lesson was on doing this daisy with the word 'strength'!
This was the original photo we started from...cropping it to a 5 x 5 and then adding text. I also added a texture to it...because that's something else I've learned and am having fun with it.

My new class...another toy!

Natalie

Sweet little Natalie is Emerson's cousin... Natalie's mama is Emily's cousin...so I guess technically, she's Emerson's 2nd cousin?

Regardless, she's a little sweetheart and I loved playing around with PSE9 and this picture of her! I'm loving putting names along the side of the pictures!
Here's the before and after shots...

Thank you for the sweet smile, Natalie!

My boys at 21.5 and 22 months

This past weekend, when I got to see my little men, it had been nearly 2 months since I had seen them...too, too long! I think I took 348 photos, something like that.

With the addition of PSE9, I don't just merely put the photos into the blog SOOC (Straight Out Of the Camera)...no, I have to play with them first.
My little Emerson King...
My little Benjamin...
They had so much fun together...playing and chattering to each other...
"Hi!"
"Hi!"

and this...hugging each other!
I pray for my little men, for so many things, but also that they will grow up loving each other, loving to hang out together, to play together...

I love these little guys!

Happy Birthday, Cash!

Emerson, along with his mama and daddy, were invited to a birthday party this past Saturday. His buddy, Cash, was turning 3 years old. Cash's parents are great buddies with Emerson's parents...and since we were in town, an invitation was extended for Emerson to bring along the rest of his family.
Cash was trying his hand at a game in the carnival. His mama spent no telling how much time, putting together an incredible 'carnival' in the garage. There were probably 6-8 different games for the kids to play. Little prizes were awarded for each one. Katrina had little colored bags for each of the kids so they had somewhere to put their prizes...
Emerson and Benjamin enjoyed 'fishing' with their papa.
Emerson was examining one of the fish to see if it was 'real'...
This is Wyatt...big brother of the birthday boy! Wyatt loves his fireman's clothes...
The boys 'fished' for quite a while...Benjamin was equally enjoying just splashing the water around...

Benjamin threw some of his 'prizes' in the water to see if they'd float. Papa to the rescue!
Cash, the birthday boy, tried his hand at fishing, too!
Cash and Wyatt have this great wooden structure in the backyard...it has a slide, swings, and this little room.... the boys LOVED it...

They would both go inside and hang out...or one would go in, close the door, and then they'd look at each other through the windows saying, "Hi!" back and forth to each other. They made my heart melt!
Natalie is a little doll....she's also Emerson's cousin, but she's not Benjamin's cousin...can you figure that one out? I can tell she is familiar with cameras! I'd be taking some pictures of her, she'd see me, and start giving me this adorable smile!

My little guy, Emerson!
This little doll is 12 hours younger than Cash, the birthday boy.
As I said, Wyatt loves his fireman's clothes...
Besides the wooden structure, there was also this little house. Benjamin found it and found out it had a doorbell...a working doorbell...

Cash, the birthday boy's mama and daddy, fixed up the entire house for this 3rd birthday party. Not only was there a carnival in the garage but look at this candy shop! I asked Katrina how long it took to put all this together, making the games, collecting it all... "About 2 months," she said. Wow!
No, this is not a real aquarium! This is a real window, with all this added outside.
Cash, the birthday boy, was practicing his bubble-blowing.

His daddy was making sure he captured it all!
When it was cake time, all the little people gathered around the cake in the 'candy shop' to sing Happy Birthday to Cash!
Emerson decided to try the fireman's hat, seeing as there were flames in the house (because of Cash's BIG 3 candle!)
Benjamin decided to try the fireman's hat on for size, too!
Gabe and Cash's daddy...commonly called Christian!
Cash had a Black and Decker drill set in his room. Natalie was trying to show Benjamin how to work it. He told her he already knew how to work it!
Emerson came in to check on his cousin...

What a fun party...both for the kids and for the adults, too!
