Thalia and I at Garden of the Gods

Thalia was here in July!  She spent the night with us and July 24th, we went to Colorado Springs to the Garden of the Gods.

There is one trail there that leads to the Siamese Sisters.  That's a huge rock that's one piece at the bottom, but separates into 2 as it rises.  In the bottom, there is this hole...and if you look through it, you can see Pike's Peak.  That's where we're sitting in this picture,

I think this park is gorgeous with all the rock formations.  We spent some time just hiking around and taking pictures.

Thalia lives in Florida, so we don't get to see her very often.   We're so proud of her...she was just accepted into nursing school in St. Petersburg!  

I definitely loved having this time with her!

Walt's first day of school

 Today, August 12, was Walt's first day of … I think it's called 

Pre-kindergarten?  It's at the preschool where he's been going.  This was a new

session with mostly new classmates.

Walt wanted to ride his bike to school...

so we did!

A Bike and Scooter ride on August 11

 Emerson got a new scooter. 

His 2nd grade teacher had bought it a long time ago, never even opened the box, and gave it to Emerson.  His mama put it together...and off we went!

 Walt was on his balance bike...

 We rode to the school....and around the black-top...

 Baxter enjoyed it, too.

 Even grown-ups like to play!

This was a fun night...for all of us!

Our 3 Hondas

 I'm not sure why, but Ron wanted us to have our picture made in front of our last 3 cars...all Honda Accords.

This first Honda...after us, went to Gabe, then to Lindsey, then to Jean Marie and Betty!

 Gabe was the cameraman, so he got a picture of his boys!

 These two were our 2nd Honda..

which now belongs to Lindsey and Donnie.

And here is our current Honda...it's 8 years old...wonder when we'll get Honda #4?

Game 4 of the tournament

 This game was in a different location.

 I was having to shoot between the wires of the fence.

 This day of the tournament was single elimination...

and we had just lost.

Walt went out to join the team...to listen to his dad...to see his brother...

I know the team would have liked to had one more game...

but for us, we were happy to see the games...to watch Emerson play...

to watch Gabe coach...

My two W's

 We were between games and Walt had come home with us.

He and William were out in the backyard.  This is what I saw!

 There they sat on top of that shed...flying a remote controlled plane.

 Aren't they precious?

I sure think so!

 William wanted me to get a picture of the plane IN THE AIR!

 I did!

    Walt was definitely enjoying himself...having a grand time with his cousin, William...my 2 W's!
