One year ago on September 23, 2017,
we celebrated Walt turning 2 years old.
Walt loves his daddy!
and guess who also loves Walt?
He was ready to celebrate!
His mama loves him too!
It was time to light the candles and sing....
Walt wasn't fond of the party hat!
He enjoyed his new bike with the bell on the handlebar!
Back at home, he opened his gifts...
Emerson gave him a construction worker outfit.
October
Your Mimi was so excited to have you visit in October.
The reason was terrible...
Santa Rosa was burning...fires all around the city...
and the air was not good for you to breathe.
Your family came up to our home to get some fresh air.
I love having you here, Walt!
Your mama and I took you to the pumpkin patch.
Emerson went to see his friend, James, instead.
You've always liked Baxter's crate!
Here's our selfie!
Later, on October 22nd, we got to see you again at Aunt Lindsey's.
You love jumping on the trampoline!
You wanted to eat with your Dad!
Happy boy, happy Dad!
Before we left, Papa and I wanted a picture with all 5 of our grandsons!
December
You came up December 1st with your Dad and brother to see Uncle Joshua!
Look how strong you are!
Your daddy had to go home the next day, but you and Emerson stayed an extra day!!
Guess where you wanted to play?
January, 2018
I love this picture!
You and Emerson met your cousins at the Oakland Zoo.
I came down to see you in January.
Snuggle times are happy times!
February
I came to see you in February and we went to watch Emerson play basketball.
You were so adorable sitting up in the stands watching him...and...playing with your cars and trucks.
Of course, after awhile when you realized the camera was on you, you started making your funny faces!
You make me laugh, Walt!
Back at your house, we played some games outside with Faith and Addie.
You were also riding your 'bike' around.
Your parents left for the weekend and guess who was so excited to stay with you?
Yep, your Mimi!
We went to the park and played...and played...and played!
March
Oh Walt, you are growing so fast!
I got to see you again in March. I had been to see Saddie in Colorado.
On the way home, I came to your house and spent the night with you.
Usually, you make faces along with Emerson, but this time...
it was just Emerson's faces.
Maybe we stayed up too late the night before?
May
May 1st was a great game of your brother's!
You were also ready to play.
You were trying to fix your cap. I asked you if I could help, but you wanted to do it yourself.
After a few more tries, you let me fix it for you.
Looking good, Walt!!!
I love this..
dressed for baseball, carrying your bat and a truck!
After awhile, you were more interested in Mama...
well, maybe that was a ploy to get her phone.
I think you might have been hiding so the phone didn't get taken away?
I came back to see you on May 12 & 13.
I really wanted to see your brother on his 9th birthday!
On the 12th, we went to a baseball game.
You were loving your icee...is that what you call that drink?
The other players are so good to you!
Happy Birthday, Emerson!
This was also Mother's Day...
I left early because you were going to be with your other Mimi for Mother's Day.
We had time for a few pictures before you left!
July
It's summer-time!
We met at the condo on July 1st. You had already moved into your new house...
but the condo needed work. Your daddy, Mama, Papa, and Uncle Donnie all worked on it.
Later in the day, we headed to the pool.
You are a good little swimmer!
Later in July, Papa and I came back down to see you.
Uncle Donnie and Aunt Lindsey also came up so they could work on the condo.
Your cul-de-sac has several basketball hoops set up.
I LOVE that...and LOVE that you are outside playing and having fun.
You're also so good at dribbling the basketball!
We were also waiting on Benjamin and William to get to your house.
You finally sat down to wait.
After your dad, mom, Papa and Uncle Donnie left to go work on the condo,
we went for a walk. You were in your stroller...
and look what happened..
you fell sound asleep!
Later, we were all in the backyard playing.
September
Now here it is September 23, 2018, and we're celebrating you turning 3 years old!
We had a fun party celebrating you!
Oh Walt! You are so incredibly precious!
You wanted a Paw Patrol party...
and that's just what your mom and dad gave you!
There was also a pinata full of candy and other goodies!
Papa and I had to leave right after this...so we weren't there to sing Happy Birthday to you...
but we wish you a very Happy Birthday!
You are one loved little guy.
Here are some pictures from your party:
I think these are the best parties...at home with friends and food and a lot of play!
Today is actually your birthday...September 25th...
What a special day that was 3 years ago!
I love you, Walt!
