May 12th haircut

 On May 12th, I asked my baby girl if I could PLEASE take our little man to get a haircut...

She said, 'Of course."  Well, she might have said "Sure." 

 Off my little man and I went. 

It is amazing to me how good he is when he's getting his hair cut.  In the bathtub, oh my gosh, will he get mad and scream if I get his hair wet.  I have to do it gradually.  If I comb his hair, he'll usually mess it right up with his hand. 

Not here...he's totally compliant...

 She squirted his head first...he didn't mind at all...

 She was even using a little razor/buzzing thing to go around his ears.  He looked at it when she first turned it on...she told him it didn't hurt and put it against his arm... No problem!

 

He DID love the car...the red car... the red car that 'doesn't have an "H" for Honda!" as he was looking at the hood.

 As we were walking to the car, I looked at him and thought...he looks so grown up!

He didn't even mess it up...until Sunday morning when I tried to comb it before William's dedication!

Oh well...

Aria

 On Mother's Day, at William's dedication, I met Aria for the first time...

 Aria's parents are Carla and Alan, friends of Lindsey and Donnie....

 

I've known Carla for quite awhile, and Alan... but this little angel, I hadn't met...

 I obviously had my camera... and loved playing with these in PSE9!  These last two pictures were SOOC (Straight Out Of the Camera)...

Sunday afternoon

 It was a beautiful day!  I think it was 63 degrees, sunny, and no wind.

 My guy was outside working in the yard...which is just beautiful!

 

 I went out and joined him after I made a pinhole camera... There was a solar eclipse happening about 6:30 p.m. and we were hoping to see it.  I got the camera ready, my guy got us a margarita.

 Unfortunately, the high clouds came in...making seeing an eclipse a bit difficult...

 We both kept hoping...

 It kept getting brighter outside, so we'd  hope the clouds would leave the area of the sun...

 

Part of it, we were able to see...it looked like a bite had been taken out of the sun, but then...

 more clouds....

 Oh well, we tried.... we kept checking the pinhole camera, not wanting to look at the sun, even though it was tempting!  There were warnings all over the internet to NOT look at the sun at all, or risk damage to your eyes...

 

We finally gave up, just enjoyed the backyard...

 

then went for a walk... and called it a night!

Barbeque

After William's dedication, we headed back to his house for a barbeque.  His Uncle Gabe wanted to hold his nephew for awhile.  It was a gorgeous, sunny day, so a hat was in order...

Is there anything better than a barbequed hamburger?  Actually, I think there is, but when you're eating one, I usually think that way.

Morning sun

 We woke up to sunshine!  Those of  you who don't live here are probably thinking... 'so?' 

 I was in here in our family room, drinking a cup of coffee in front of the fire - yes, FIRE.... FIRE IN  MAY!.... it's 38 degrees outside...in May...  

Anyway, my guy told me to 'come look at the flowers'... because this rhody plant had the morning sun shining on it....  It's so gorgeous.  We talked about how beautiful it was...and then I did what I normally do - grabbed the camera.  My guy told me a picture wouldn't do it justice, and he was correct.  So I stepped outside - in the 38 degree sunshine - and took a couple of shots...and he was still correct.
