A day at the marsh

 It was a beautiful day at the marsh...

 Baxter was definitely enjoying the day...being outside, but especially being with Benjamin and William!

 When we left to go here, I told Linz it would be a great day to take some pictures for our Christmas cards...

 I loved, loved, loved watching these two boys!

They had a BLAST! 

They were running along the trails...sometimes with, sometimes without Baxter.

 We kept trying to get Baxter to look at the camera...

but he wasn't cooperating!

 I about croaked when they handed Sullivan to the boys...

"BOYS, be careful!!!" their Mimi said!

 I just love these with William down closer to the tracks!

 Sullivan wasn't in these, but I just love them.

A great day...and a great photo-taking day!

Apple farm

Friday...the day after Thanksgiving...was a fun day!  We left about 11 a.m.and headed to the apple farm.  Fortunately, we decided to go today, because Dick, (the owner), told us when we were there that today was the last day to be open for this season.  OH NO!  I love this place and their apples are THE BEST!

 After buying a LOT of apples we took some photos for possible use on Christmas cards.

I'm happy with how they turned out...what a beautiful backdrop the apple trees make!

We ate an apple, then left and took off for the marsh.

After Thanksgiving dinner...

 Our Thanksgiving dinner was over...

the kitchen was cleaned...

and it was time for this Mimi to sit down and play with Sullivan!

 I had to tell him to 'hush' a few times..

(just kidding!)

 He wanted to say Hi to the cameraman...

(his Papa)

 In the meantime, his brother, William, was busy doing something on the computer...

 His Papa had already crashed...

His Daddy was being funny..

 Baxter wanted to join in the fun..

actually, Baxter is a little jealous of Sullivan!

Sullivan's Papa came over to talk to his newest grandson...

and Sullivan was thrilled!

Thanksgiving Day, 2017

 No, this isn't a hat.

Benjamin's Papa put a roll of toilet paper on his head to see how long he could balance it.

Benjamin played along...and finally, after a LONG time, his Papa said, OK, you win...

and off came the roll!

 I loved these helpers!

I was making hot rolls...and both of these boys rolled them for me!

 Benjamin first of all rolled the dough out into the circle.

Then I cut each round (there were 4) into 12 slices...

then each slice was rolled up like a croissant.

 Benjamin is very meticulous...and he took his time on rolling them into the perfect form.

 William was serious about his job, but he just got right with it and rolled...

not paying as close attention to the finer details..

It was time to roll out another circle...

Look at these rolls..oh my goodness...they are so good...

and here, they were ready to rise and then stick in the oven!

Another thing the boys did...was make our centerpiece for the table.

They took random jars...filled them with greenery and fresh cranberries...

then filled with water 

and put a votive candle in it...which floated!

It was beautiful and festive!

 I remember when Benjamin made this hat in kindergarten.

 When I was down at Lindsey's and William came home with this, I asked him to please, please, please bring it at Thanksgiving...

and he remembered!!!
When I went to take this picture, I took the first one and then Lindsey told him to smile bigger...and he did...and she again said, Smile bigger...
and he did!

It was definitely a Happy Thanksgiving!
