Medford Jazz Festival

What a great weekend Ron and I had! We journeyed to Medford, Oregon, to their Jazz Jubilee...aka, the Medford Jazz Festival. Saturday was an absolutely gorgeous day...temperature in the mid 70's. We listened to our two favorite bands: The Titan Hot Seven and Cornet Chop Suey - plus there were others who we also enjoyed. It was so relaxing to be in warm weather, listening to great music, eating some delicious food, and just being together away from work and the phone.

Speaking of food...for dinner on Saturday we went to Porters. What a wonderful restaurant. We went there last year and made our reservation early for this year so we knew we would get a seat. Porters is an old restored train station...thus the name.

Glad you had a good time. I am back in the gym now so maybe I will see you. I read "Sisters Keeper" and loved it. I remember you saying in your blog that you loved Judi Picoult. What other books are good by her? I was at target the other day and couldn't decide.

We missed you and Ron at the AFBC 100th Anniv.celebration. The Saturday potluck and program was great, and Sunday morning service as well. Pat, Linda, Arlene and I had a sweet group hug in spite of your missing link. HSB

Ohhhh, Jodi Picoult is SUCH a great author...in my opinion. I have The Pact and Second Glance (which you're welcome to borrow!)...both really good. But my ALL TIME FAVORITE...by FAR...is PLAIN TRUTH. Perfect Match is also really good. I've read more of hers too. I LOVED My Sister's Keeper. It was tough cause I was reading it while I was in Memphis visiting Camilla...and John, her brother, had just been her donor for her first transplant.

Sounds like a lot of fun up there in Medford. Did you get the Snoop on the dance floor?
