Father's Day

 I can't believe I didn't put this blog up on Father's Day!  It could have been because Gabe and Emerson were here...and there was a lot going on...but still!

These first pictures, I know have made an appearance on the Johnston Chronicles multiple times...but I love them.  They are definitely appropriate for Father's Day!  My dad...I think I'm a lot like him in many ways... We lost him 33 years ago...I still think about him so much...thinking about how he would be so proud of his family...wondering if Joshua would have been a golfer - it was something my dad really wanted!

 My dad was a sportswriter for the newspaper (among other things)...which is where I get my love of writing. 

 John David was born 5+ years after me...

 My dad loved country music...golf...westerns...Arnold Palmer...his family...his pipe...and to make up nicknames for people. 

 I was Ju-Ju...John David was Dave...Mom was Honey...

 

My guy became a dad... 

My dad became a Grandfather...

Sid became Grandpa

 

My guy became a dad again... 

Gabe

Now he had 2 sons...

 then came Lindsey... he was now a father of 3...

 

My guys Grandpa was a great -grandpa...

this is Grandpa who lived on the farm..

 My brother became a father...

 Joshua became a father...to Thalia!

 and my guy was Papa...

 Gabe became a father...to Emerson King...

 Donnie became a father...to Benjamin...

 Papa was now Papa to three... Thalia, Emerson, and Benjamin...

 Then, just a little over a year ago, Donnie became a father again... to William!

 Fathers and sons........

I love all these guys!

Happy (belated) Father's Day to my guy, my brother, Joshua, Gabrial, and Donnie!  You guys are the best!
