5. laugh often
6. enjoy the beauty of flowers
7. true friends stand by you
8. perseverance
9. determination can carry you a long way
10. appreciate good health
11. when in airports, search out the chocolate
12. tell those you love that you love them!
13. clothes don't make a lady...but a necklace might
14. make things happen
15. life should never be taken for granted
16. strive to do your best
17. protect those you love
18. be smart
19. cats are a comfort (I knew this, but I saw it more with Camilla and Embers)
20. friends come in all ages
21. most closets are too small to hold a decent wardrobe
22. creative ways to solve problems
(Judy, take this duck and give it to Ginger...and don't leave a trail!)

What all have I learned from Camilla...there's so much more...
What did Camilla teach you?

Judy, I think Camilla would "approve" of your recent tribute and all the great pics you have posted of her in happy times, as well as the thoughtful list of lessons learned from knowing her. They serve as an illustration for this wistful, wishful poem included in the memorial booklet from her funeral:

I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave an echo, whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun of happy memories that I leave when my life is done.

Thank you, Judy, for enriching (for those of us who have known her mostly through you) our memories of Camilla.
Love you, Helen

Thank you again, Helen, for all your prayers, thoughts, and little gifts to Camilla. She loved those sweet figurines...After you brought the last one, she told me, "These make me happy."

your pictures of Camilla are great! you have done a good job on your blog. so what has camilla taught ME:
Well that you can never watch too many movies
that love is the strongest power someone can have
that as you said, Judy, cats are so very precious and i wouldn't have know that unless i met Embers
that friendship is precious
that even at your worst moments try to have fun and to live with what you have no matter how hard it gets
That life is such a precious thing to hold on too as long as you can.

Camilla was the Strongest girl, the prettiest girl, My best friend. well she has touched so many peoples hearts and everyone has great memories of her in our heart ans mind at all times, including Me, Dana

love Dana
