This has definitely been the baby shower season for me...and I have been loving it.
My guy has experienced baby showers too! I am realizing this is the new thing to do...coed showers. What a great idea, too.
Benjamin had a coed shower this past Saturday at the home of a friend of Benjamin's parents... Judy.
Judy has the perfect home for a party... it was beautiful and she was so generous to open her home for Benjamin's parents and their friends. These were friends from work, church, and school.

A dog even showed up for the shower! He was well behaved.
As people arrived, we first sat down for some lunch: pulled chicken sandwiches, Fumi Salad, Black bean/avocado/pasta salad, an appetizer of salami wrapped cream cheese, and some delicious punch. Isn't this pretty? It has nothing to do with Benjamin's shower, except it was on a rose bush in Judy's front yard.
Judy needed to make more punch!
There was a guessing game... how many clothes pins AND safety pins in the vase?
This might look like everyone is watching someone with their guessing game...but that's not correct. No, Judy has this awesome clock. When it chimes, the face separates. It's beautiful!
This is Betty... Lindsey and Donnie's next door neighbor!
Christy was out of town, but her husband, Doug, came with their two daughters!

Scott, a buddy from Donnie and Lindsey's college days!
Kaylee and Grace enjoyed the canine visitor.
Besides guessing the clothespins/safety pins, there was one small game... especially for the males in the group.
Putting a diaper on a ... well, there was no baby, so it was a stuffed animal!
Donnie, you better get a lot of practice before Benjamin gets here.
Grace
Grace needed a bit of assistance on the safety pins.
Doug and Ron did it at the same time. Doug had a slight advantage, since he had JUST changed Kaylee's diaper - for real!
Uh, Papa... you definitely need to practice before your grandsons arrive.
Zach and Spring
Lindsey, not my Lindsey, but a friend, Lindsey!

We gathered around to watch Lindsey and Donnie open some gifts.

Oh boy, it was time for the clock to chime again!
Benjamin will be one of the best dressed little men around. He also got 4 - 5 hats... his parents decided to try them on for size. Too small!
It was a wonderful afternoon at Judy's... time spent with old friends, new friends, a canine, and family.
Bye, Judy! Thank you so much for opening your home to us!
