Changing of the Guard...almost!

The Victoria Monument outside of Buckingham Palace

I really wanted Ron to see the Changing of the Guard.  It was not the best weather, and I knew it could be called off at the last minute, but we went for it!  We were able to walk there from Joshua's flat.
It was maybe a bit misty when we got there...
I thought maybe...maybe...
 Buckingham Palace

You can see the little black guard houses...the guards were inside since the mist became a sprinkle..
which turned into a light rain....

I knew it wasn't looking good...but we stuck around a little longer..
The Changing of the Guard takes place at 11:30.

 Buckingham Palace Gates

 This is "THE" balcony...
the balcony the Royal Family comes out on to wave to the public.
It was 11:30...11:35...and people started leaving...

then we heard something...
Here came the Queen's Horse Guard...
This wasn't the Changing of the Guard,
but Ron got to see a little of the pagentry of London!
We were a little wet by the time we walked back,
but it was worth it!
