Hiking at Mount Falcon

Larry was in Colorado visiting Brenda and her family.
On the afternoon of the 20th, Larry came with Brenda and her 3 kids.
 This is Eli...
 and this is Jackson.
This is Emma and their dog, Bailey.

 Brothers!
Larry is 11 months older than Ron!
I bet there were wild times in the Johnston household when they were little guys!
I KNOW there were wild times when they were older because I was there!
The kids, Brenda's 3 + Brody, played in the backyard for awhile.
I can't remember how it started with hitting balls over the fence, but climbing up the ladder became more fun than playing.
There was actually another ladder on the other side of the fence.

Brody wasn't allowed to go over the fence, but Joshua held him up so he could see what was going on.
 Larry...Ron's older brother.
 Brenda...Larry's oldest daughter...our oldest niece.
On June 22nd, Larry, Brenda and the kids came back and  we all drove to Mount Falcon.
We took off on the Castle Trail.

There was a bathroom break before we went very far.

See the Castle ruins?  That's where we were going first.
I think the ruins of the castle are beautiful!

From the Castle Trail, we took off on the Meadow Trail.
Off the Meadow Trail, we took the Tower Trail.
This trail was steep...and we went a bit slower.

Once we reached the Tower...it was well worth the hike.
Can you see the buildings of downtown Denver?

It was VERY windy!

After taking a 'few' pictures at the tower, we took off for another area that had a covered area of picnic tables....and another beautiful view!

After the second tower area, we headed back toward the cars.
Eli led the way with Baxter.
It started to rain a bit as we got to the car.
The timing was perfect.
It was definitely an enjoyable afternoon!
