Saturday with the boys

It was an absolutely wonderful time with our little men this weekend.

I'm starting with Saturday...and having a difficult time deciding which pictures to blog... My little men had on their matching 'Champ' outfits...they're both wearing the same size now! 12 months! How can that be possible?
Emerson...he hit a milestone on Saturday. You can see his 4 bottom teeth... you cannot see his top 4 teeth...

That's not the milestone!
He wanted me to get a good shot of his teeth...
Emerson loves balls...he played with them in the living room...and in the bathtub... he loves the balls!
He tried to munch on them, but was unsuccessful!
Benjamin had carrots. It was my first time to feed him. He not only loves the carrots, but he loves the spoon as well.


Oops! This is the reaction from sweet little Benjamin when he doesn't get to grab and keep the spoon...or when the carrots aren't coming fast enough!
Either end of the spoon is fine... great for gnawing...
I loved feeding him... and I figured out if I did it FAST.... a quick in and out of his mouth with the spoon, he didn't fuss over it.
"Yummers, Mimi..."
The boys hung out on the floor playing...notice that Emerson has a ball?
The ottoman is great for standing against. It's a perfect level for standing and playing on...notice the ball?

Benjamin and his sweet mama decided to check out the computer...see if there was anything new on the JohnstonChronicles...
Emerson just wanted to hang out and talk to Biscuit and play with... you guessed it, the ball.
Benjamin was reading about himself on the blog.
Emerson started tilting his head to one side...then the other...he did it sitting up...he did it laying down. Benjamin thought his cousin was pretty funny...

Ah ha! Now Benjamin has the ball...actually, Emerson had several to share.
We dressed the boys in their new Champ outfits. They were sitting on Emily's lap...having a grand time!
Well, most of the time they were having a grand time.

Oops! A little disagreement over the red jeep?

Ok, they're friends again... just a short little spat.
They hopped back in Emily's lap, and locked their arms together to show us they weren't mad at each other.


After an enormous amount of debating between the parents and grandparents, we finally decided to go to Applebee's and eat dinner. This was the first time the boys had been out together to a restaurant. They got their jackets on and were excited to go eat.



The boys got tired of waiting, so they just started playing. Emerson thought it was a little warm for Benjamin to have his hat on in the house.

Benjamin thought this restaurant was pretty fun...especially the balloons!
They even played at the table...with manners, of course!
When all the food was gone...the desserts consumed, the boys were ready to go...

It was such a fun Saturday with our little men!

Oh, the milestones?

It was the day Benjamin turned 8 months old...and he cut his first tooth...

and Emerson...he started to crawl! I was SO excited to see him take off...

I just love these little guys!
