Spending the day with Thalia...Joshua & Erica...and Blu!

My sweet Thalia!
She's beautiful inside and out...
When I was visiting, we took a little journey to Home Depot in their new van...  Joshua was driving, of course...  he paused while the car turned left...
off we went...actually, we turned left too....
My sweet Erica was enjoying her iced coffee... that's homemade iced coffee, not a 'Buckys' as Joshua calls a Starbuck's coffee..
After our Home Depot excursion, they decided to vacuum the van... their fairly new van... their van that has some features my car doesn't...like individual climate controls, a camera that shows behind you when you're backing up, interchangeable seats, Sirius radio (love that!)... and a family that rides in it that I wish I could see more!
It's a cousin to this truck... Joshua's truck that he bought when his red car died...that's been a while ago..
Ahh, Joshua got a 'Bucky's' and came home to supervise (a skill he learned from his Pops) Erica installing the new hose winder-upper that was bought at Home Depot.
I have to admit, I was extremely impressed that Erica was the installer...  I learned some things about her this trip... this was one of them...  Erica the mechanic!
Wait, does installing something like this make you a mechanic?  Regardless, I was impressed with my sweet daughter-in-law!
Erica was leading the way to get the hose straightened out so the winder-upper could have its maiden winding-the-hose job...
Joshua took the honors to wind the hose.  I wonder if he's still taking as long to wind it now that it's been a week or two?  He carefully wound the hose...
Erica's tools...  they may have been bought by Joshua, but they were used by Erica...
Ta - da.............
This sweet photo of my Thalia has absolutely nothing to do with the water hose...unless you consider that sometimes she may have to water the lawn... You may notice she has something to eat in her hand...
Guess who the food is for?
Blu was asking very nicely...
He shook Thalia's hand to say 'thank you'!
"Good dog, Blu!"
A bit later, as I was listening to this incredible guitar player and singer...
Joshua decided to put Erica's new bindings on her new snowboard...
and to have her try on her new boots...snowboard boots...
This is something else I learned about Erica... she used to snowboard all the time...even worked at a ski resort!  I had no idea!
Joshua was making sure it all felt just right for her...
Thalia was watching all this...
We took a few photos with my camera...well, we took more than a few, but we I deleted most of them...
not because of Thalia, but because of me...
OK, now the boots felt right, the right distance apart, not sure what else... so then it was time to try on the goggles...
"Feels perfect!"   Joshua got the A-OK from his wife!
Ah-ha!  Another snowboard for a non-snowboarder.  Thalia has never snowboarded, but is going to learn.  I know it'll come easy for her since she's always been so great on her rip-stick...
I asked Joshua if he was going to snowboard... 'NO, I'm too old' was his answer.  Joshua is a great skier...Thalia was worried and asked,  "Dad, will you be able to keep up with mom and I?"  His answer, "The question is, will you and Mom be able to keep up with me!"
Thalia doesn't have her boots yet, but she put her tennis shoed feet in the bindings to check out how they felt...
 I got boots too...
Thalia taught me how to play hold the guitar...
Thalia's guitar...she is amazing on this... 6 strings with that hole underneath... how in the world she makes such a beautiful sound come from it is a mystery to me!

What a great time I had with them!
