a very quiet, quaint, town on the northern coast...is beautiful...
and some of my girlfriends and I decided to extend our golfing portfolio to other courses...
This one is in Little River...just south of Mendocino. We were about to play...and some man was watching us try to get ready to take a photo or two...and he rushed in to the rescue!
He told us to "lean in" on this one...um? we're all leaning, but not in the same direction! Two came along for the ride, but didn't play...Laner is just not a golfer, and Lynne decided to just hang out with her and not play...Lynne IS a golfer! The deer were out on the course...the flowers were gorgeous...
"Come on, Sandi...you can do it!" we all whispered, not wanting to break her concentration...
Here I am...concentrating...Look at that putt!
Woo hoo...look at my buddy Pamela! I can hear that ball hitting inside the cup as I type...
Jake is our left-handed golfer...but as you can see, she's aiming right for the hole too!
and NO, these shots were not staged. You're witnessing actual competition!
There was this awesome car hanging out in the parking lot...After our golfing extravaganza, walking around Mendocino was a treat... in the background, you can see the Point Cabrillo lighthouse...You may notice it's a bit foggy?

Here's the lights close up on the lighthouse...
My buddy, Pamela, was looking out at the ocean...it was beautiful even on a foggy day!
I really liked this lighthouse...it has a little gift shop inside...which made me wish I had brought my wallet...we had walked 1/2 mile to get here...so all we had were our cameras...
Remember that earlier photo of a corner of a house where you could see the lighthouse in the background? Well, in the background of this pic are those houses...
This house was right smack in the middle of the town of Mendocino...
Water is a problem...always a problem here. These watertowers are everywhere...to help with the water! Some of us took a painting class one morning. Believe it or not, I didn't take it...I walked around taking pictures instead...even taking photos of some of my buddies painting... like Laner...and all of them sitting out in the cold fog..enjoying their painting lesson...
After their lesson, we all had lunch here...it was nice, warm, and cozy inside...

Sweetie, your putting form was great except for the glove. The pros take their glove off when putting. Loved the pictures and Happy Birthday again. I love you, Mom
Wow, great pictures. That place is beautiful, the flowers, the lighthouse, the cottage. Did you take any pictures of the inside of the cottage? I would love to go there sometime. Looks so relaxing. You all look great, like pros golfing.
Love you!
Erica
I'm playing golf tomorrow, Mom...I'll try and remember to take off my glove when I'm putting... any and all suggestions are welcome... I'll just be expecting some improvement! Should I stick my glove in my back pocket and let it hang out while I putt? I think that's what I remember Tiger doing...not that I want to be like Tiger or anything!
Judy, good form! I usually wear my glove when I putt. Most people do take their glove off.
